Silver Hill
Falcn Castanet
Castanet shows the production, capacity
and power of her dam Cassie
and granddam Cassia. She has a well attached, capacious
udder. We love her temperament. She is my
granddaughter Brenna's showmanship doe, and is willing to cooperate with being
dressed up for costume classes and modeling the results of the arts &
crafts activities we have for the youth at our VSDGA
June Show.

Silver Hill KB Chocowinity
We were pleased with Chocowinity's
smoothly attached udder as a yearling. She has the strength and dairyness of her
dam line. That strength and capacity are really blooming in her as a
two-year-old.

I am indebted to Lynn Benedict for making this outstanding
permanent champion doe
available to me. She has an illustrious pedigree, an outstanding show record,
including high placings and Performance Awards at the National Show, lifetime
production of 2,521d, 22,440m, 779f, 694p, Spotlight Sale progeny, and a fore
attachment that wouldn't quit! More of her lifetime performance can be found in the
Walnut Fork Archives.
"Snakey" left us in the summer of 2004,
after gifting us with a daughter, Black Opal.

Cassia proved her genetic potential for
production and longevity. Like all of our
Profet Jeremiah daughters she was long, tall, powerful, and sharp as a tack. Her
triplet littermate, *B Silver Hill PJ Vindicator, is the sire of a 2X Grade
Alpine Breed Leader; her other littermate, Cassius, was
exported, as have been several of Cassia's sons and siblings.
We lost Cassia in the fall of 2003.

Chamomile was with us for almost 15 years but it
was necessary to put her down in the fall of 2001. She was both a productive and a very correct
doe, although we never got a decent picture of her. She
showed
well against strong competition all her life, earning her CH leg under
Dan Considine at the State Fair of Virginia. She grew more stylish with
age. She excelled in strength of feet and pasterns, inherited from her famous
granddam Lola. In old age her foreudder was still pocketless,
her udder floor above the hocks and her rear legs and pasterns so
correct that as a 10-year-old she was seen standing straight
up on her hind legs to eat from tree branches. Over the years we exported
5 of her sons and daughters and she is the dam of our 1996 Breed Leader Cassia.
Every doe in the herd except for Opal is a descendant of Chamomile.

Silver Hill Express Dark
Opal
Opal has her dam's body, extremely
dairy. She was our most productive milking yearlings in 2005. Opal is a maternal half
sister of Walnut Fork Fire Opal 8*M (VG 88 at 2 yr. with EX Mammary), the
highest selling female of any breed at the 1998 ADGA Spotlight Sale.
Thank you to Donna Kidd for
providing the Express semen.
